Kerala: The Sabarimala Temple saw an overwhelming surge of pilgrims as it hosted the Makaravilakku festival. With an estimated 1.5 lakh devotees in attendance, the temple was flooded with fervent worshippers eager to witness the celestial Makarajyothi, a divine light marking the climax of the annual pilgrimage season.

In light of the massive turnout, the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) had implemented rigorous safety protocols, including barriers, enhanced lighting, and bolstered security from the police and other agencies to ensure a smooth experience for the devotees. Devotees were urged to remain vigilant and cautious amidst the large crowds to prevent accidents.
