Amid rising summer temperatures in Kerala, rainfall is expected to bring relief, with the Central Meteorological Department issuing a yellow alert for three districts on Thursday.
The alert has been declared for Idukki, Kannur, and Kasaragod. The weather department has forecast rain in the state till May 2.
According to officials, the rainfall is likely to be accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds reaching speeds of 40–50 kmph.
The department has also advised the public to remain cautious and take necessary precautions to avoid lightning-related incidents.
