New Delhi: President Droupadi Murmu extended warm greetings to the people of Kerala and Malayalis living in India and abroad on the eve of Onam.
In her message, the President described Onam as a festival of gratitude to nature for the arrival of the new harvest and a celebration of Kerala’s rich culture and spirit of brotherhood.
She said traditions such as boat races, folk dances, music and sports reflect the cultural heritage and values of Kerala while promoting the spirit of unity in diversity.
The President wished that Onam would bring happiness, peace, good health and prosperity to all and inspire citizens to contribute to the progress of the nation.
