Preity Zinta Slams Kerala Congress Over Loan Write-Off Allegations, Calls It “Fake News”

Bollywood actor Preity Zinta has strongly refuted allegations by the Kerala Congress, which claimed that she secured an ₹18-crore loan write-off from the crisis-hit New India Cooperative Bank in exchange for handing over control of her social media accounts to the BJP.

Dismissing the accusations as “vile gossip” and “fake news,” Zinta clarified that she had repaid her loan over a decade ago. She also asserted that her social media accounts have always been personally managed and never influenced by any political party.

Following her sharp rebuttal, Kerala Congress retracted their statement, admitting they had shared unverified media reports. They expressed regret for spreading misinformation and accepted responsibility for the mistake.

The controversy underscores the dangers of misinformation in the digital age, highlighting the need for fact-checking before making public accusations.
