Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Andhra Pradesh and Odisha on January 8th and 9th, 2025, to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for transformative projects aimed at sustainable development, industrial growth, and infrastructure enhancement.
Key Highlights of the Visit:
Andhra Pradesh (January 8th):
- Green Hydrogen Hub (Pudimadaka, Visakhapatnam): PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for India’s first Green Hydrogen Hub, a ₹1.85 lakh crore project aimed at producing 1,500 TPD of Green Hydrogen and 7,500 TPD of derivatives like Green Methanol, Green Urea, and Sustainable Aviation Fuel, focusing on exports.
- Railway and Road Projects: Infrastructure projects worth ₹19,500 crore, including the South Coast Railway Headquarters, will be initiated to enhance regional connectivity and economic growth.
- Bulk Drug Park (Nakkapalli): A Bulk Drug Park will be established to accelerate economic activity and create thousands of jobs, leveraging proximity to the Visakhapatnam-Chennai Industrial Corridor.
- KRIS City (Tirupati District): Foundation stone will be laid for KRIS City, a ₹10,500 crore smart industrial hub under the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor, expected to generate over one lakh jobs.
Odisha (January 9th):
- 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (Bhubaneswar): PM Modi will inaugurate the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention, themed “Diaspora’s Contribution to a Viksit Bharat,” fostering connections with the global Indian community.
- Pravasi Bharatiya Express: The PM will flag off a special tourist train under the ‘Pravasi Teertha Darshan Yojana,’ designed to offer Indian diaspora an enriching travel experience across iconic Indian destinations.
This two-day visit underscores the government’s focus on sustainable growth, technological advancement, and stronger engagement with the Indian diaspora, setting the stage for long-term regional and national progress.
