PM Modi Offers Prayers at Arulmigu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple in Seychelles

Seychelles: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday visited the Arulmigu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple in Victoria, Seychelles, where he offered prayers and highlighted the deep cultural and civilisational ties between India and the island nation.

Describing the temple as one of the most prominent Hindu places of worship in Seychelles, the Prime Minister prayed for peace, prosperity and the well-being of all.

In a post on social media, Modi said, “Prayed at the Arulmigu Navasakthi Vinayagar Temple in Victoria, the prominent Hindu temple of Seychelles. May Bhagwan Shri Ganesh bless everyone with wisdom, strength and prosperity.”

The Prime Minister also appreciated the efforts of the Seychelles Hindu Kovil Sangam for building and maintaining the temple and for promoting Indian culture and spirituality in the country.

The temple visit formed part of PM Modi’s engagements during his state visit to Seychelles, aimed at further strengthening the longstanding cultural, civilisational and people-to-people ties between the two countries, which share close historical links and a vibrant Indian-origin community.
