PM Modi Inaugurates ₹2 Lakh Crore Development Projects in Visakhapatnam, Paving the Way for Andhra Pradesh’s Growth

Visakhapatnam: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for transformative projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore during his visit to Andhra Pradesh. These projects aim to propel the state toward unprecedented economic growth and global sustainability leadership.

Key Initiatives Unveiled:

  1. India’s First Green Hydrogen Hub (NTPC):
    • Location: Pudimadaka, Anakapalli district.
    • Investment: ₹1.85 lakh crore.
    • Target: Produce 1,500 TPD of green hydrogen and 7,500 TPD of green derivatives like methanol, urea, and sustainable aviation fuel, positioning India as a global green energy leader.
  2. South Coast Railway Zone Headquarters:
    • Location: Visakhapatnam.
    • Impact: Enhances regional connectivity, reduces congestion, and bolsters socio-economic development.
    • A long-standing demand for a separate railway zone has been fulfilled.
  3. Bulk Drug Park:
    • Location: Nakkapalli, Anakapalli district.
    • Benefits: Thousands of jobs and economic growth, leveraging proximity to major industrial corridors like Visakhapatnam-Chennai and Visakhapatnam-Kakinada.
  4. Krishnapatnam Industrial Smart City (KRIS City):
    • Location: Tirupati district, part of the Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor.
    • Investment: ₹10,500 crore.
    • Impact: Creation of 1 lakh jobs and significant manufacturing growth in the region.

In his address, Prime Minister Modi reiterated his vision of making Andhra Pradesh a $2.5 trillion economy by 2047. He emphasized the government’s unwavering support for the state’s development and applauded its commitment to sustainability and industrial advancement.

These initiatives mark a significant step in redefining Andhra Pradesh’s economic and industrial landscape while reinforcing its position on the global stage.
