PM Modi Congratulates Suvendu Adhikari on Taking Oath as Bengal CM

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday congratulated Suvendu Adhikari after he took oath as the Chief Minister of West Bengal.

In a message shared on X, Modi said Adhikari has remained closely connected with people and understood their aspirations. He also wished him a successful tenure as chief minister.

The Prime Minister also congratulated Dilip Ghosh, Agnimitra Paul, Ashok Kirtania, Kshudiram Tudu and Nisith Pramanik on taking oath as ministers in the new West Bengal government.

Modi said the leaders had worked extensively at the grassroots level and expressed confidence that they would contribute to the state’s development journey.

The Prime Minister also noted that the swearing-in ceremony of the first BJP government in West Bengal coincided with Pochishe Boishakh, the birth anniversary of Rabindranath Tagore. He said tributes were paid to Gurudev during the ceremony and praised Tagore’s lasting influence on India’s cultural and developmental vision.
