Perumbalam Bridge in Alappuzha Set to Open in April, Final Works Underway

Alappuzha: The much-awaited Perumbalam Bridge in Kerala’s Alappuzha district is set to be inaugurated in April 2025, marking a significant milestone in the region’s connectivity. Officials have confirmed that the construction of the bridge is complete, with only the final touches on the approach roads at Perumbalam and Vaduthala sides currently in progress.

Once opened, the bridge will provide a direct road link to Perumbalam Island, ending its long-standing dependence on ferry services for mainland access. The project, which has been in the pipeline for years, is expected to boost transportation, tourism, and economic activities in the region.

Authorities have assured that all remaining work will be completed on schedule, paving the way for a seamless travel experience for residents and visitors.
