Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday praised the New Delhi Declaration adopted at the 18th BRICS Summit, saying it reflected the “pragmatic, inclusive and forward-looking leadership” of Indian foreign policy in an evolving global order.
The declaration also welcomed the recent Guwahati Declaration issued by the BRICS Heads of Anti-Drug Agencies, which aims to facilitate operational and technical cooperation among anti-drug agencies of member countries.
“This document exemplifies the pragmatic, inclusive and forward-looking leadership that Indian foreign policy brings to an evolving global order,” Sarma said in a social media post.
