The NEET UG re-examination will be conducted across the country today under stringent security arrangements. Around 2.3 million students are expected to appear for the exam at 5,440 centres nationwide.
Authorities have put in place extensive security measures to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the examination. Paramilitary forces have also been deployed at examination centres as part of the enhanced security framework.
The re-examination is being held after the original test conducted on May 3 was cancelled following allegations of a question paper leak.
The examination will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. Unlike previous years, when the exam duration was three hours, this year’s re-examination will last three hours and 15 minutes. The additional 15 minutes have been allotted for pre-examination procedures and instructions to candidates.
