Narendra Modi on Tuesday met Penny Wong and held discussions on further strengthening the India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed cooperation in key sectors including defence, trade, technology and supply chain resilience. They also reviewed the growing bilateral ties between India and Australia.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to working together for a free, open, secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
Following the meeting, Modi shared details of the discussion in a post on X, expressing happiness over meeting Senator Penny Wong and highlighting the expanding collaboration between the two countries across strategic sectors.
The meeting comes amid increasing cooperation between India and Australia in regional security, economic partnerships and Indo-Pacific initiatives.
