Thiruvananthapuram: Actor Mohanlal has extended his support to the Kerala Police’s anti-drug campaign, Operation Thoofan, urging people, especially the youth, to stay away from narcotics.
In a video shared on social media, the actor began with his iconic dialogue, “Narcotics is a dirty business,” made popular through his films, and delivered a strong message against drug abuse.
Mohanlal appealed to those using drugs to quit for their own well-being, the sake of their families, and society. He also warned those involved in drug trafficking that the Kerala Police is closely tracking such activities and that there would be no leniency for offenders.
“I have said this twice on screen—first as Sagar Alias Jacky in Irupatham Noottandu and later as Stephen Nedumpally in Lucifer. But today, I am saying it to you directly as Mohanlal: Narcotics is a dirty business,” the actor said.
He called on the public to support efforts to eliminate drug abuse and help build a safer, drug-free society.
