President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday said the upcoming Nashik-Trimbakeshwar Simhastha Maha Kumbh would bring together India’s rich cultural heritage and modern developments, offering an opportunity to introduce the younger generation to the country’s spiritual and cultural traditions.
Addressing a ceremony marking the flag-hoisting and the beginning of preparations for the religious gathering, the President highlighted the significance of the centuries-old Kumbh Mela as a symbol of India’s cultural and spiritual unity.
Murmu also stressed the need to protect the environment, maintain cleanliness and ensure effective waste management during the event. She called for balancing religious traditions with environmental responsibility.
