BJP Credits Modi Government’s Policies for Decline in India’s Extreme Poverty Rate

The BJP on Saturday attributed the reported decline in India’s extreme poverty rate, highlighted in the latest World Bank report, to the policy initiatives implemented by the Narendra Modi-led government.

BJP national president Nitin Nabin cited the World Bank findings and other data in a post on X, stating that India’s progress was reflected in improved living conditions and expanding opportunities for its people.

He said the Modi government’s development agenda was guided by the principle of ‘Antyodaya’, which aims to ensure that the benefits of economic growth reach the most disadvantaged sections of society.

Nabin added that the government’s focus on inclusive development would accelerate India’s journey towards achieving the goal of ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’.
