Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that India is emerging as a “trusted partner” to the world, driven by its investments in sectors that will foster long-term growth, innovation and opportunities for future generations.
Addressing members of the Indian diaspora at Salle Pleyel, one of the largest indoor venues in the French capital, Modi described the current period as a defining phase in India’s development journey, marked by rising aspirations and growing global confidence.
“There was a time when relations between countries were determined solely by trade, but today, trust has become just as important alongside trade,” the Prime Minister said.
He highlighted India’s expanding global role and emphasized that the country is focusing on investments across key sectors to strengthen economic progress, technological advancement and sustainable development.
Modi’s remarks came during his interaction with the Indian community in Paris as part of his visit, where he underscored India’s increasing influence and credibility on the global stage.
