Bihar Deputy CM Suggests College Classes Continue Till 8 PM

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Thursday suggested that colleges across the state consider conducting classes until 8 pm to strengthen and improve higher education.

Speaking at the foundation day celebration of AN College, Samrat Choudhary emphasized the need to make better use of educational infrastructure and academic resources.

The college, affiliated with Pataliputra University, is named after Anugrah Narayan Singh, whose birth anniversary was also observed on the occasion.

Referring to college principal Ratna Amrit, Choudhary said he had asked her about the institution’s class schedule. “She told me that the campus becomes deserted after 2 pm. I see an opportunity here. Let classes continue till 8 o’clock in the evening,” he remarked.

The Deputy Chief Minister said extending academic hours could help improve the quality and accessibility of higher education in Bihar by making fuller use of college facilities and resources.
