Dubai: India has advised its citizens to postpone all non-essential travel to Iran until the security situation in the country improves, citing increasing instability and conflict.
In a revised travel advisory issued on Sunday, the Indian Embassy in Tehran said recent developments have led to a deterioration in the security environment, prompting the need for heightened caution among Indian nationals.
The embassy urged Indian citizens planning to visit Iran for any purpose to defer their travel until further notice. It also advised Indians currently in Iran to consider leaving the country through available commercial flights while travel options remain accessible.
The advisory comes amid growing concerns over the deteriorating security situation in Iran.
