New Delhi: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Monday temporarily closed five Metro stations amid heightened security arrangements for a protest march organised by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP).
The affected stations are Rajiv Chowk, Janpath, Patel Chowk, Central Secretariat, and Seva Teerth. In a post on X, the DMRC said the stations would remain closed until further notice due to security concerns.
The CJP has organised a march to Parliament on the opening day of the Monsoon Session, demanding reforms in the education sector. Security has been tightened in the central parts of the national capital to manage the protest and maintain law and order.
