IIT Bombay Partners with US University to Expand AI-Focused Education and Research

Mumbai: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay has signed a Letter of Intent (LoI) with the State University of New York (SUNY) at Old Westbury to collaborate on new academic programmes and research initiatives, with a special focus on emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI).

The agreement was signed by IIT Bombay Director Prof. Shireesh Kedare and SUNY Old Westbury President Dr. Timothy E. Sams in the presence of Consul General Binaya S. Pradhan.

As part of the collaboration, the two institutions will jointly develop innovative educational programmes in science and engineering and promote research opportunities. These initiatives will be offered at the SUNY Old Westbury campus on Long Island, New York, strengthening academic ties between India and the United States.
