Gold prices in Kerala witnessed a sharp increase on Friday, with the rate rising by ₹145 per gram, according to the latest market update.
The price of one gram of 22-carat gold has increased to ₹14,450, while the rate for eight grams (one sovereign) has climbed to ₹1,15,600.
Meanwhile, 18-carat gold is priced at ₹11,940 per gram and ₹95,520 for eight grams.
Silver prices also registered a slight rise. The current rate of silver stands at ₹280 per gram and ₹2,240 for eight grams.
The rise in prices is attributed to fluctuations in the international bullion market and renewed investor demand.
