Gold Prices Reach Historic Peak in Kerala, Soar to ₹70,520 per Sovereign

Kochi: Gold prices in Kerala have once again climbed to a record high, with a sharp increase of ₹760 per sovereign, taking the price to ₹70,520. The rate per gram also rose by ₹95, reaching ₹8,815.

This marks the highest-ever gold price recorded in the state. Although prices briefly dipped after crossing ₹70,000 for the first time last Saturday, they have now surged past that milestone. On Saturday, prices had reached ₹70,160 per sovereign, setting a record that has now been broken.

Experts attribute the price hike to global market uncertainties, which are driving investors toward gold as a safe haven asset. Analysts suggest that gold prices are unlikely to drop in the immediate future.
