In the latest episode of his radio program “Mann ki Baat,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the innovative efforts of sanitation workers in Jhabua, Madhya Pradesh. These workers have been transforming waste materials into beautiful artworks, embodying the concept of “Waste to Wealth.”
PM Modi highlighted their creativity, which includes crafting items such as helicopters, cars, and cannons from discarded materials like plastic bottles, old tires, and pipes. This initiative, part of the ‘Waste to Best’ campaign, was implemented in Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Park in Jhabua without any external assistance, showcasing the dedication and ingenuity of the local sanitation team.
The Prime Minister’s acknowledgment has brought national attention to this small tribal district, which is typically known for its poverty, but is now celebrated for this inspiring environmental initiative. Local officials, including the Jhabua Collector, have expressed that this recognition will further motivate the workers and community to continue their impactful work
