New Delhi: Five Indian heritage sites, including the Udaigiri Caves in Madhya Pradesh, have been added to UNESCO’s Tentative List of World Heritage Sites, taking India’s total number of entries on the list to 78.
The new additions include the Bagh Cave Paintings, Group of Temples of the Chambal Valley, Udaigiri Caves, Ginnorgarh, and the Sites of Satyagraha, a serial transnational proposal covering locations in India and South Africa.
The Ministry of Culture described the additions as a significant milestone in recognising and promoting India’s rich cultural heritage.
