Thiruvananthapuram: The Congress on Wednesday stepped up its attack over the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) findings concerning Veena T, daughter of former Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, describing the agency’s observations as “extremely serious”.
KPCC president Sunny Joseph said the ED’s findings raised questions over alleged unauthorised financial transactions linked to Veena Vijayan and called for a clarification from Pinarayi Vijayan and the CPI(M).
In a statement, Sunny Joseph said the written observations made by the central agency warranted serious consideration and demanded that the former chief minister and his party respond to the issues raised in the ED findings.
The Congress leader said the allegations surrounding the financial dealings should be addressed transparently and sought an explanation from the CPI(M) leadership on the matter.
