Thrissur: Noted criminal lawyer Adv. B.A. Aloor, who gained national prominence for his role in several high-stakes and controversial legal battles, has passed away while undergoing treatment for kidney-related ailments at Lisie Hospital, Ernakulam.
A native of Erumapetty in Thrissur, Biju Antony Aloor, widely known as B.A. Aloor, became a household name after defending Govindachamy, the prime accused in the Soumya murder case, a case that gripped the nation. He also stood as defense counsel in other headline-making trials, including the Elanthoor twin human sacrifice case and the Koodathayi serial murder case.
