Thiruvananthapuram: In a dramatic turn of events, suspended Congress MLA Rahul Mamkootathil made his way into the Kerala Legislative Assembly on Monday, brushing aside objections from party leadership and Opposition Leader V.D. Satheesan. Rahul entered the House during condolence references for departed leaders.
Rahul, clad in a green khadi shirt and mundu, arrived in a private vehicle with Youth Congress Thiruvananthapuram district president Nemom Shajir by his side. Sources say he had already held discussions with a few Congress leaders earlier in the day.
Rahul entry has deepened fault lines within Congress, with leaders split between support and dissent—setting the stage for escalating internal turmoil.
