Mumbai: Senior Congress leader Prithviraj Chavan on Sunday alleged that Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar had violated a parliamentary law governing the powers of election commissioners and demanded his removal from the post.
Chavan said serious questions were being raised over Kumar’s functioning and alleged that his policies were biased and were helping someone win elections illegally. He alleged that the Chief Election Commissioner had acted “completely illegally” and called for action against him.
