Kerala Welcomes Private Investment: Minister P. Rajeev Showcases LDF’s Pro-Business Vision

Thiruvananthapuram – Kerala’s Industries Minister P. Rajeev has firmly stated that the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government is not anti-private investment, but is actively promoting responsible and sustainable industrial growth. Dismissing long-held perceptions, Rajeev emphasized that the LDF opposes only exploitative practices, not private capital. “We welcome all investors who grow with the people of Kerala,” he affirmed.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, the state has introduced several reforms to boost ease of doing business—strengthening the single-window clearance system, developing new industrial parks, and promoting emerging sectors like biotech, renewable energy, deep tech, and digital startups. The government is also modernizing coir and traditional industries with an eye on global markets.

Highlighting the success of the Kerala Startup Mission, Rajeev underscored that Kerala is open to investment that creates quality jobs, respects labour rights, and maintains environmental integrity. With this balanced approach, the LDF aims to shed old stereotypes and position Kerala as a progressive, investor-friendly state rooted in equity and sustainability.
