New Delhi – The third batch of Indian nationals deported by the United States has arrived in India, marking another wave of repatriations. A total of 112 individuals, identified as undocumented immigrants, were flown to Amritsar on a special repatriation flight. The U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster aircraft landed at Amritsar Airport at 10:03 PM on Saturday.
The deported group comprises 31 individuals from Punjab, 44 from Haryana, and 33 from Gujarat, along with two from Uttar Pradesh and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Among them are 89 men, 23 women, and several children.
Many family members gathered at the airport, anxiously awaiting their loved ones. Authorities completed immigration and verification procedures before allowing them to return home.
This marks the latest development in a series of deportations. The first batch of 104 individuals was repatriated on February 5, followed by a second batch of 116 on Saturday. More deportations are expected as the U.S. continues its crackdown on illegal immigration.
