SM Krishna, a towering figure in Indian politics and a key architect of Karnataka’s growth, passed away at the age of 92. He served as the Chief Minister of Karnataka from 1999 to 2004, playing a pivotal role in transforming Bengaluru into a global IT hub. Krishna also held positions as External Affairs Minister (2009-2012) and Governor of Maharashtra (2004-2008).
Recognized for his diplomatic skills and leadership, Krishna’s legacy includes modernizing infrastructure and fostering economic development. He was awarded the Padma Vibhushan in 2023 for his service to the nation.
