Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated the groundbreaking ceremony for Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (BPCL) biogas plant at Brahmapuram, Kerala. This advanced facility aims to convert organic municipal waste into compressed biogas (CBG), supporting India’s mission for sustainable energy. The plant is a significant step toward reducing the country’s dependence on fossil fuels and promoting clean energy alternatives.
The biogas plant will process regional waste into biogas, helping improve waste management and significantly lowering carbon emissions. This eco-friendly initiative is set to boost local economic development by generating renewable energy for transportation and industrial use, contributing to a cleaner and greener future for India.
