Kuthlur village in Karnataka has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Best Tourism Village’ in a competition organized by the Ministry of Tourism. Launched in February to promote sustainable tourism and highlight the cultural and natural beauty of India’s rural regions, the competition attracted entries from across the country.
Kuthlur’s success was driven by the efforts of Harish Dakaiah, Sandeep Poojary, and Shivaraj, who submitted the village’s details and showcased its unique charm. This recognition puts the spotlight on Kuthlur’s breathtaking landscapes, vibrant traditions, and eco-friendly tourism potential. The accolade further underlines the rising significance of rural tourism in India, offering travelers authentic experiences while boosting local livelihoods.
