New Delhi: Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Sunday launched a sharp attack on the BJP, alleging that the party was misusing the electoral revision process to target opposition-ruled states, particularly West Bengal. She also expressed solidarity with the CJP leadership and Gen Z activists during the INDIA bloc rally at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi.
Addressing opposition leaders and supporters, Banerjee urged political parties and various sections of society to unite against the BJP to safeguard democratic values. She accused the ruling party of attempting to influence the electoral process through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
The former West Bengal chief minister began her speech by acknowledging the presence of senior INDIA bloc leaders and representatives of civil society, stressing the need for collective action to defend democracy.
