Shivamoga: The Karnataka unit of the Congress on Wednesday launched a 10-day statewide outreach campaign titled ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra 2.0’, marking four years since Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra entered the state.
The campaign was inaugurated in Shivamogga district and will cover 84 Assembly constituencies where the Congress suffered defeats in the 2023 elections.
Karnataka Congress president B K Hariprasad said the initiative seeks to strengthen the party’s grassroots network and reconnect with voters in constituencies where it was defeated.
Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Yatra entered Karnataka on September 30, 2022, as part of his cross-country foot march from Kanyakumari to Jammu and Kashmir.
The Congress plans to use the 10-day programme to hold public interactions and party-level activities across the identified constituencies.
