Dehradun: Four female students and another individual have been booked in Uttarakhand for allegedly securing MBBS admissions under the freedom fighter dependents’ quota using forged certificates, officials said on Tuesday.
The students’ admissions, obtained through the quota, have subsequently been cancelled.The action followed a complaint that prompted the Dehradun District Magistrate to constitute a committee to verify the certificates. During its inquiry, the committee found the documents prima facie suspicious and reported that the addresses mentioned in them could not be verified.
