New Delhi: The Congress on Tuesday urged the government and administration to expedite relief and rescue operations in flood-hit Bihar and ensure that essential assistance reaches affected families without delay.
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge expressed deep anguish over the loss of lives in the floods and offered his condolences to the bereaved families.
In a post in Hindi on X, Kharge said nearly 50 lakh people across 15 districts had been affected by the floods, disrupting normal life in thousands of villages.
He stressed that the government’s top priority during the crisis should be to ensure that relief and assistance reach every affected family.
