New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday extended his warm greetings to the nation on the occasion of Independence Day, recalling the courage, sacrifice and dedication of the freedom fighters who fought for the country’s independence.
In a message, Modi said Independence Day is a reminder of the extraordinary courage and tireless struggle of the freedom fighters whose efforts brought an end to colonial rule.
He said the dreams and ideals of the freedom fighters continue to inspire the nation and urged citizens to uphold their values while working collectively towards the goal of building a Viksit Bharat (developed India).
The Prime Minister said that, powered by the collective strength of 140 crore Indians, the country is reaching new heights of progress across various sectors.
He expressed confidence that India’s development journey would continue to advance at an even faster pace in the years ahead.
In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote: “Warm greetings to my fellow Indians on Independence Day. This national festival reminds us of the courage, struggle and dedication of our freedom fighters…”
