
Thiruvananthapuram: Gold prices in Kerala witnessed a significant decline on Tuesday, bringing relief to jewellery buyers. The price of 22-carat gold fell by ₹155 per gram, resulting in a ₹1,240 drop per sovereign (8 grams).
Following the revision, the price of 22-carat (916) gold stands at ₹13,215 per gram, while a sovereign now costs ₹1,05,720.
The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at ₹10,855 per gram, with an 8-gram unit priced at ₹86,840.
Meanwhile, silver is being sold at ₹235 per gram, taking the price of 8 grams to ₹1,880.
