Kapil Sibal Donates ₹1 Crore for Legal Aid to Students Facing Cases

New Delhi: Senior advocate Kapil Sibal on Monday announced a contribution of ₹1 crore to a legal aid fund established by the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) to support students facing criminal cases following the recent agitation.

CJP spokesperson Saurav Das alleged that there were credible concerns that criminal cases could be registered against students across the country despite assurances given by the Centre.

He said the party is coordinating with Supreme Court lawyers to provide legal assistance to students who have been booked by the Delhi Police in connection with the protests.

The fund is intended to ensure that affected students receive legal representation and support as proceedings move forward.
