GURUVAYUR: The counting of offerings deposited in the hundi of the Guruvayur Temple for June 2026 was completed on June 22, with the temple recording a collection of ₹8,50,00,661.
In addition to the cash offerings, devotees contributed 1 kg 843 g 600 mg of gold and 9 kg 800 g of silver.
During the counting process, officials also found 15 notes of the withdrawn ₹2,000 denomination, 14 notes of the demonetised ₹1,000 denomination, and 60 notes of the old ₹500 denomination in the hundi.
The counting was carried out under the supervision of the Guruvayur branch of the Canara Bank.
The temple also received significant contributions through its e-hundi facilities. The State Bank of India (SBI) e-hundi at the East Nada collected ₹4,60,426, while the Punjab National Bank (PNB) e-hundi received ₹31,037.
At the West Nada, the Union Bank of India (UBI) e-hundi collected ₹1,07,226, the Indian Bank e-hundi received ₹61,864, the ICICI Bank e-hundi recorded collections of ₹43,952, and the Dhanalakshmi Bank e-hundi received ₹1,82,432.
Temple authorities said the figures reflect the continued devotion of pilgrims visiting the renowned shrine.
