Gold prices witnessed a significant decline on today, bringing relief to jewellery buyers across Kerala.
According to rates released on today, the price of 22-carat (916) gold dropped by ₹335 per gram to ₹13,370. The price of one sovereign (8 grams) now stands at ₹1,06,960.
The rate of 18-carat gold is ₹11,040 per gram and ₹88,320 per sovereign.
Silver prices also remained comparatively stable, with one gram priced at ₹250 and eight grams at ₹2,000.
Jewellery traders said fluctuations in international bullion markets and changing investor sentiment continue to influence domestic gold prices. Market observers expect further movement in rates depending on global economic developments and trends in precious metal trading.
