BJP Thrissur South District President A.R. Sreekumar has strongly condemned what he described as attempts to exploit a minor family issue for political gain through character assassination and public humiliation.
In a statement, Sreekumar said that personal and family-related disagreements are common in the lives of people across various fields, including media and politics. However, he argued that using such matters as tools for personal attacks and social ridicule, disregarding basic human values and decency, is unacceptable.
He said efforts to target individuals or families through misinformation and derogatory campaigns aimed at tarnishing their public image do not reflect a healthy political culture. According to him, political opponents should be challenged on ideological grounds rather than through the exploitation of personal issues.
Sreekumar urged those involved in such campaigns to refrain from actions that undermine individual dignity and family privacy. He also called on the public to reject what he termed toxic and defamatory political propaganda.
