The funeral of veteran Malayalam actor Salim Kumar will be held today. Members of the public will be able to pay their last respects at the Paravur Town Hall until 1 p.m. Following the public viewing, his mortal remains will be taken to his residence. The funeral is scheduled to take place at around 3 p.m.
Salim Kumar passed away yesterday while undergoing treatment at Amrita Hospital. He had previously undergone a liver transplant surgery. He made his film debut in 1996 with Ishtamanu Nooru Vattam. In 2006, he received the Kerala State Film Award for Second Best Actor for his performance in Achanurangatha Veedu.
