Authorities on Friday announced that elections in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will be held on July 27.
According to a notification issued by the regional Election Commission, candidates can submit their nomination papers from June 9 to June 19. The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on June 20.
India has consistently maintained that Pakistan is in illegal occupation of parts of the Indian Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, collectively referred to by India as Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
