Karnataka Chief Minister-elect D K Shivakumar on Tuesday rejected media reports speculating about the composition of the new state Cabinet, stating that no official decision had been announced regarding the list of ministers.
Shivakumar, who returned to Bengaluru from New Delhi along with outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah after discussions with the Congress high command, said the final decision on Cabinet formation would be taken by the party leadership after due consultations.
Addressing reporters at the airport, Shivakumar clarified that reports circulating in the media about probable ministers were unofficial.
“Whatever is being reported in the media today is not official,” he said, dismissing speculation surrounding the likely members of his Cabinet ahead of his swearing-in ceremony scheduled for today at Lok Bhavan in Bengaluru.
He added that the Congress high command would communicate the final list of ministers once discussions are completed.
