Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday expressed deep sorrow over the demise of former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhuwan Chandra Khanduri.
In a message shared on X, Modi said Major General Khanduri (Retd.) made invaluable contributions both in the armed forces and in public life, and would always be remembered for his service to the nation.
The Prime Minister praised Khanduri’s dedication towards the development of Uttarakhand during his tenure as Chief Minister and described his work as a Union Minister as inspiring. He also highlighted Khanduri’s efforts in improving connectivity and infrastructure across the country.
Modi conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members and supporters of the veteran leader.
