Family members of those killed in the Ahmedabad plane crash on Wednesday demanded that authorities release details from the aircraft’s black box, saying they still do not know what caused the tragedy nearly 11 months later.
Relatives of the victims said they are seeking clarity on the final moments of the flight and urged investigators to make the findings public.
The crash involved Boeing 787-8 flight AI 171 operated by Air India, which was travelling from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick. The aircraft crashed into a medical hostel complex shortly after taking off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport on June 12, 2025.
A total of 260 people lost their lives in the accident, making it one of the deadliest aviation tragedies in recent years. Families of the victims said they continue to wait for answers regarding the cause of the crash.
