The Central Meteorological Department has forecast continued summer rains across Kerala, with rainfall likely in several parts of the state on Wednesday.
A yellow alert has been issued in four districts — Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta and Kannur.
Authorities have warned of strong winds and thunderstorms along with heavy rain and urged people to remain cautious.
For Saturday, yellow alerts have been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode districts.
On May 10, alerts will remain in place for Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Idukki and Ernakulam districts.
