Kanpur Man Accused of Killing Twin Daughters; Wife Demands Strict Action

Kanpur: A shocking incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur, where a man allegedly killed his 11-year-old twin daughters, leaving the family devastated.

According to reports, the accused, identified as Shashi Ranjan Mishra (48), is suspected of drugging and then slitting the throats of the two children inside their residence in Kidwai Nagar. The incident came to light when the mother discovered the girls lying in a pool of blood.

The victim’s mother, Reshma, who had moved to Kanpur from Siliguri in West Bengal after marrying Mishra in 2014, expressed deep anguish over the incident and demanded strict action against her husband.

Police sources said the family of five — parents, twin daughters and a young son — had been living in a rented apartment. Initial reports suggest the couple had been leading a strained life, with separate sleeping arrangements inside the house.

Further investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances and motive behind the crime.
